What is an ACO?

An ACO that works with Medicare is a network of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers who work together to offer Medicare Fee-For-Service Beneficiaries healthcare services.   ACOs that work with Medicare focus on quality, cost, and the overall care of Medicare Fee-For-Service Beneficiaries. Specifically, they:

·         Evaluate data to track care and patient outcomes
·         Coordinate patient care
·         Coordinate care transitions
The use of information technology (IT) is essential to their success because software programs can assist physicians in monitoring and tracking care. This is why we offer IT and software training to our ACO physicians and office staff.
It is believed by many within the healthcare industry that ACOs are part of the “future” of healthcare. We strongly believe in coordination of care and welcome other physicians that share our values. If you are a provider and are interested in participating in our ACO, please email us at info@apollomedaco.com or call us at 877-340-3290.
